American Army on the Hunt For Enemies Of Freedom, Issues Deck of Cards With Most Wanted

LetThePeoplePlay.org “The Enemies of Freedom” deck of playing cards has just been released by their Army of American poker players. Contained on these cards are the images and contact information of all those wanted for crimes against Liberty!

While our brave young men and women are fighting overseas for freedom and democracy, there are evil forces at work in our own country trying to crush our great American values and take away your personal   freedoms. “Under a cloak of secrecy, often employing a Don't Ask, Because We Won't Tell policy, these enemies of freedom are playing with your rights!” declares Lucie Jourdan, the official Army spokesperson. “We are an army, 70 million strong, and we are setting our sights on our collective enemy who are attacking our online poker playing rights.”

Ms. Jourdan is the spokesperson for www.LetThePeoplePlay.org, a group fighting for the civil liberties of poker playing Americans whose fundamental freedoms are   under assault. “We encourage every Patriotic Poker Playing American to hunt down these individuals by phone, fax and e-mail and demand that they declare their position on this issue. Most will hide behind the excuse that "they have not made up their mind or are undecided", but that is not good enough.   We deserve better from our elected officials. They seem to forget that they work for us. They need to get back to important issues, stability in the Middle East, rebuilding the Gulf Coast, affordable health care, etc. Making criminals out of Poker Playing Americans is a joke. If you are not with us, you're against us. Our poker army is 70 million strong and we are raising the pot.”

The House of Representatives   just attached an amendment to a Homeland Port Security bill which aims to strip us of our poker playing rights. What does playing poker have to do with port security? Concerned Americans must act quickly to correct this barefaced assault on our collective freedoms. Bill Frist and Dennis Hastert were working overtime to make criminals out of poker players and trample on our American freedoms. At the same time it appears that Representative Hastert has been protecting sexual predators in his own ranks. We need common sense restored to Washington.

At the last minute, in a back room deal, they changed the bill and took out a provision requiring background checks for port workers and added an amendment aimed at eliminating online poker. The message they are sending is that it is OK for convicted felons to work in secure areas of our ports but it is NOT OK to play poker on line. Dennis Hastert felt it was more important to make criminals out of poker players than to adequately protect our ports security. This is outrageous. It is time our politicians got there priorities straight! If online poker was legalized, regulated and taxed it would generate billions in revenue. With that money we could ensure background checks are preformed on all port workers and still have billions of dollars left over for other pressing issues facing this country. LetThePeoplePlay.org wants to send a clear message to Dennis Hastert and all other enemies of Freedom, we are outraged by your actions!

Playing poker is a great American tradition. One of the founders of LetThePeoplePlay.org is movie producer and poker player Philip Ittleson. His newly released Poker Documentary “No Limit” (available at www.amazon.com ) features interviews with over forty poker superstars all commenting on the “American Dream” and what it means to them . In one particularly poignant interview, Iranian born poker champion and Ben Afflecks poker coach,   Amir Vahedi   states that “The American Dream to me, and I already got it here, is freedom.” Well Amir, it looks like you'll have to tell your Iranian friends back home that we in America are quickly loosing those very freedoms that you hold so dear. Ittleson is giving a free copy of the critically acclaimed film and a deck of the “Enemies of Freedom” cards to anyone making a $25 donation to LetThePeoplePlay.org .

Ittleson declares “This anti-poker legislation is pure screed, if you read the bill the hypocrisy is astounding. It allows internet gambling on the lottery, horses and fantasy sports, but bans poker players from betting on themselves. Anyone who supports this bill is an enemy of personal freedoms and liberty and should be voted out of office. There are 70 million poker players in this country and we are mad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore!”
